For something a little different, after I got asked to make the spider-sona for @MetroBoomin I got the really fun assignment to develop the design into a full character




Got to do the cover for this summers KeyFrame magazine, along with a little interview about the design process on #SpiderMan2099

so i haven't seen Across the Spiderverse yet and therefore i don't know if those made it in the movie, but here are some concepts i've done all the way back in 2019 for it !







some more rough concepts i had done for across the spiderverse, not sure if those made it in either, i'll have to wait for the blue ray release to check all this !

One of my favorite color keys I painted for the movie.



Over the next couple of days im going to slowly release some color keys I did for #spidermanacrossthespiderverse    .This is part of the opening sequence for Miles’ world.


I was happy that I was able to capture the early morning sky before the sun rises in this shot pretty early. Maybe I’m used to it as a Londoner? lol Character design: @AmiThompson_h ADs: @okeefe_artist @shinypinkbottle Dean Gordon. Layout: (let me know!)

炫酷，真的感慨世界真的大，动画片还能这样拍，真的是如同纵横宇宙一般的体验

不知道是不是篇幅，这部感觉有点拖，特别是那些家庭戏
原以为预告只是前半部分，没想到大头都说了，就留了个徘徊者没说

至于米格儿，漫画原设不太清楚，但他打血清的镜头以及被问是不是蜘蛛侠，应该是做对照。他失去女儿和说教的口吻也有点像迈尔斯在蜘蛛宇宙的父亲，不断地质疑，想让小孩踏上自己选定的路最后又会变成“老父亲的一片苦心”啥的。蛛网事件说到底就是个neta和冲突点，也有可能是米格儿把发生在他身上的事当成普遍现象了。我甚至不是很明白他代替平行宇宙里死去的自己和蛛网事件有啥关系，那个平行世界的自己还是死了啊。不好说是他隐瞒了啥还是单纯魔怔了

我没看过1直接去看的2，后面再回家看的1，2比1强太多了，美术分镜完全就是飞跃。在看的时候都是目不暇接，完全没觉得拖沓

2的美术比1更进步了，真的赞叹
可惜留了这么大一个坑，我本来还觉得一部电影四波大战高潮会不会有点多（格温初见米格尔，阿三宇宙，追捕迈尔斯，我以为会有的大战斑点），没想到一转头跑错宇宙就结束了
就是平行宇宙剧情都忘光了，需要边看边回想，看到米格尔揭示迈尔斯真相才想起来上一部有个蜘蛛侠没了

子夜的黑暗

画面强无敌，就是前三段格温加入组织、迈尔斯他爸升职、印度蜘蛛侠三段太长了差点睡着，进入组织后的主线瞬间好看了起来

二刷的时候才注意到，迈尔斯刚到2099基地的时候，朋克蛛一路上都在到处抠零件揣口袋里，迈尔斯还吐槽“这玩意你拔下来之前肯定有用处的”，原来那个时候朋克蛛就在收集仿造手环用的东西了

看完了，太爽了，感觉大脑随着五光十色的画面蒸发
上一部的时候就说过了这一部再说一次，这就是我想看的动画

而黑人他不是在上集就用了關係比父親更好的叔叔，作為親人祭品嗎?也是叔叔死了後才覺悟走去換裝
今集還要再用他的父親才算數?

昨天看了美术确实很棒，但就是有的场景不知道是不是风格叠加场景debuff显得画面有点像低模，然后有的场景感觉掉帧一样的画面不连贯

I had the opportunity to design Jessica Drew’s motorcycle for Across the  @SpiderVerse , the first image is the bike @JDS_247 and @shinypinkbottle went with. So fun to do these. I have 10 more I’ll post later






Yes,Hobbie is really cool, I know But forget him for a while! (not too long I promise 🤟🏾) My name is Pavitr Prabhakar and no, I wasn’t bitten by a spider I’m from India and these are some of the very early designs, back to 2019 😵‍💫 Things would change a lot along these years 👇🏻👇🏻










I was very fortunate to get the opportunity to work on the Pavitr Prabhakar character on @SpiderVerse movie. Here are some initial designs inspired by Indian architecture and theatre art forms like Theyyam, Yakshagana and Koothu

Got to a body everyone liked, did some acting and action explorations, but now the design was sent off to the great Omar Smith to be modeled, where some of the proportions were adjusted. Omar did such an incredible job translating the design






After a few months with 2099 in modeling and character paint, I was given him back with the assignment to implement more Mezzo American cultural landmarks into the suit. the trick was to add pattern work that wouldn't break the overall color silhouette






Working on top of the paint job by Jake Panian, I spent months looking at ancient art and current textiles to draw inspiration from and see how far we could take the design without it being too busy. Making sure the logo read as an 8-legged spider was a priority too

This was one of the longer assignments I had on the film, spending about 9 months working on just the patterning until everyone was happy, but this helped make one of the designs im most happy with because there isn't a part I didnt meticulously go over to make sure it was right





Not only did i get to design the suit, but I got to help figure out how to destroy it.
Some explorations on how #SpiderMan2099    ‘s digital suit could disintegrate. Had a lot of fun researching dying or burned out LED screens.






Here's one of the covers ( with the original logo ) that's in #AcrossTheSpiderVerse       scene before the big twist at the end of the film! I also did 4 prelims before the final! Shout outs to @okeefe_artist @shinypinkbottle for giving me the green light!

Another early vis dev painting from #AcrossTheSpiderVerse    . We were trying to figure out what daytime should feel like in the city. Also continuing the idea from that last painting of bringing more warms into manhattan.

是的，格温蛛在自己的漫画里一直这么吐槽……凡是彼得当蜘蛛侠的场合，格温基本没有好下场；而越是像原初彼得的“彼得”，越容易对格温蛛犯PTSD……

顺便，这次出来的印度蛛，他的女友其实也是格温变体

这片是真的刻板印象大集合，朋克反一切权威，三哥侠一张嘴就是**五常网友调调，女儿侠到处给人看女儿照，牛仔侠的马都有面罩，甚至还借女儿侠的嘴吐槽了一句“你不也在给人贴标签”但也正是如此，感觉是在反对这些刻板印象，包括在暗讽所有的蜘蛛侠都要死个亲友死个警官的刻板情节，不知道下一步还能整出什么活来
s：米格尔看不惯中年彼得就是因为后者天天晒女儿吧，勾起他ptsd好久了
