“On the heels of Ford's final Indiana Jones picture (which featured a de-aged version of the star via flashback), the upcoming Captain America movie adds to his stockpile of imagery within the vaults of Walt Disney, which also owns all the Star Wars films he appeared in. I asked Ford if he has taken any steps to secure control of his likeness in preparation for a future when studios will be able to make movies using fully synthetic versions of famous actors at any age, even after they're gone from this life.
"You don't need artificial intelligence to steal my soul. You can already do it for nickels and dimes with good ideas and talent," he said, referring to a 2024 Indiana Jones videogame in which a different performer, Troy Baker, provided the voice and motion-capture acting for a computerized version of Ford's hero. "He did a brilliant job, and it didn't take AI to do it," Ford added.”
