这个说法是不对的,英文wikia的总结:
In 2009, a forum thread claimed that the game was developed as Shin Megami Tensei IV, according to an interview with Kazuma Kaneko, but since the game's setting does not take place in Tokyo, it is apparently not named as such.[1]. However, a new interview with director Eiji Ishida contradicts this. Ishida says that Strange Journey was conceived as a spinoff from the very beginning, but the promotional staff and Kazuma Kaneko thought that its quality was high enough to be called Shin Megami Tensei IV. Ishida ultimately refused to market it as such. Ishida also makes no mention of its setting not being in Tokyo becoming a factor.[2]

Yesterday, this appeared: http://megamisj.atlusnet.jp/arthur/index.html
It's a Creator's Corner where Kaneko (Lord Emperor) and Ishida (director) talk about the various aspects of Strange Journey. I didn't want to post at first because it's all Japanese and but..... I decided to anyway just to make some people SADDER! :lol
Kaneko says that originally, this was indeed SMT4. It is SMT4 for all intents and purposes as a SMT game. Except, SMT1-3 all took place in Tokyo, and because this takes on a different location and setting, he felt it would be more fitting to just give it a different title. He also mentions why it does not take place in Tokyo. For someone living in Tokyo, the original games will have a strong impact geographically because it's their home city and this is a "what if" situation revolving around that. But for people who live in other countries, far away from Tokyo, it would not have the same impact and they might feel left out. So he decided to create a scenario and setting where everyone can appreciate and feel connected in a more similar way.
So suck it down haters.
This is.
Shin Megami Tensei IV.
FOR THE WORLD!
:lol :lol :lol :lol
然后是dsj时石田p的采访:

Retronauts: I've heard rumors that Strange Journey was originally intended to be published as Shin Megami Tensei 4, but was turned into a non-numbered spinoff instead. What do you think defines a "true" SMT game? In your opinion, where does a spinoff like Strange Journey fit into the franchise or universe?
EI: To be exact, it was developed as a spinoff from the start. The promotional staff at the time judged the game to have high enough quality to be marketed as a numbered title, so they suggested selling it as a numbered SMT game. Even Mr. Kazuma Kaneko, who worked with us to design the human and demon characters and pen the original story, backed up the suggestion, saying it was “good enough to be called Shin Megami Tensei IV.”
But, because it was conceived as a spinoff, we enjoyed the freedom of going off on a tangent from the mainline games (and the extra pain and suffering from that, haha). Therefore, I felt a strong resistance to market it as a numbered title, and I ultimately rejected the suggestion. I think I would be a little more flexible about it now, but my past self who had just experienced the pain of creating a new title wasn’t as confident, and I couldn’t make that decision then.
要论开发模式的话if和NINE都叫正统作。。。sj最后没编号是就差口气 |
