Next-generation upgrade options for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Both digital console versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War offer upgrades, within the same console family, from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 and Xbox One to Xbox Series X that will support higher framerate, hardware-based ray-tracing, shorter load times, and more.

• PlayStation 4 will have an option to upgrade to PlayStation 5 through the PlayStation Store.
• Xbox One will have an option to upgrade to Xbox Series X through the Microsoft Store at launch.
  

Both current generation versions (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) will be playable on their respective next-generation console via backwards compatibility by downloading the game from your account’s digital library. But, the game will not include any of the next-generation features, such as higher framerate, hardware-based ray-tracing, faster load times, and more.

The digital Standard Edition is available for pre-order on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Battle.net through platform stores and select Call of Duty in-game stores.

Physical Standard Edition – PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

The physical Standard Edition features the base game Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and is available for pre-order now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One through select retailers.

Next-generation upgrade options

• PlayStation 4 version will have an option to upgrade to PlayStation 5 through the PlayStation Store. Please note: The PlayStation 4 disc must be inserted into the PlayStation 5 to access the digitally upgraded PS5 version of the game.
• Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X. Please note: Please see the information below regarding the Xbox Series X version as part of the digital Cross-Gen Bundle.
  

之前育碧放弃给《刺客信条：瓦尔哈拉》，《孤岛惊魂6》和《看门狗：军团》的XBOX珍藏版提供物理光碟，只有数字KEY，这次是动视不给XBOX实体版升级次世代版本


另外这XBOX版外包装有够迷惑的，XSX版与X1版的区别就在于左上角换了个位置，XSX右上角多了个标签，右下角多了个表示附带跨世代包的标志

XSX的外包裝其實還沒公佈，這是臨時樣式。 最後是用黑色盒子也不奇怪，本來XSX的宣傳基本都把綠色去掉只剩黑白

回复@冷剔:之前有新闻的，微软不允许厂家提供付费跨时代升级包，但是lj动视又舍不得给本世代免费开升级次世代的口子，所以就整出这种迷惑操作了。

说好的智能分发呢，到最后还不是看游戏厂商心情，说白了，还是不地道

本來就是看廠商心情啊，動視這種現在不親微軟的怎麼可能會跟，又不是育碧
不過最搞笑是XSX實體版可以在XB1上玩（PS5的碟不能放到PS4玩），動視也挺會整活的
