My theory about the planet's history from the last thread:
地球殖民船降落在新星球上
>Colony ship from earth lands on new planet
开始地球化改造
>Begins terraforming
地球化改造未完成/只在殖民船周围部分成功，在殖民船周围产生最适合种植庄稼的土壤。
>terraforming is incomplete/partially successful only around the colony ship's vicinity, giving it the best soil for crops
殖民者们以工作分成两个营地
>colonists divide into task-based camps
一组是矿工，前往遥远的北方采集矿物
>one group were miners, going off to the farther parts of the north to mine resources
另一组是农民，留在殖民船附近
>the other group were farmers, sticking close to the colony ship
经过几个世纪与各自当地环境的共生，自然灾害减少了农民们的收成，打垮了矿工们脆弱的农业
>after centuries of working in their respective region in symbiosis, natural catastrophe reduced the farmer's crop yield while devastating the feeble agriculture of the miners
作为一种紧急措施，农民们决定尽可能节俭，但是仍然不能喂饱遥远的矿业殖民地

地理和资源通常决定政治
Geography and resources usually dictate how politics are made.
帝国似乎损失了领土，要么对王国，要么是自然侵蚀流失。看起来是由未完成的地球化导致的生态灾难。
Also, it seems that the Empire has lost territories to either the Kingdom or to natural erosion. Looks like the ecological catastrophe was caused by incomplete terraforming.
