Chris Carter has communicated directly with Kahwi.
TP comments wasn't the last straw. But is part of a culmination of things for him wanting out.
Kahwi did not demand to be traded to Lakers. He just wants to be in LA.
He actually doesn't feel like he'll be happy playing with Lebron since he likes to compete. He thinks he's the best 2-way player in the world.
He feels that with Jerry West, that he'll be able to attract free agents on his own. (This cancels one of the rumors that he wants to leave because no free agents would come to San Antonio.)
Pop not opposed to trading him to the west but has a responsibility to get the best deal for the team.
Negative Bummer here: He doesn't like that San Antonio is very controlling of it's players. He claims that the organization likes to have a say even on the player's endosements (who they prefer for you to sign to).
Positive: Him and Pop actually communicately regularly. Both of them still have great respect for each other but understand that they have a tough decision.
There you go folks. Now please take this with a grain of salt. But if this is to be belived, at least we know that the relationship between Pop and Kahwi isn't as bad as it seemed to be. That means there is still hope for repairing the relationship.
