炸裂消息,圣杯地牢远比想象的要复杂,一个偷跑的哥们在reddit上的新发言(因为剧透被删帖了),尽管他说的有些玄乎让我觉得是troll,但wiki上的更新似乎证明他讲的还有些可信
几点重要的:圣杯地牢可以难度很高,有全新的装备掉落和全新模型的boss
I've seen some talk lately from people expressing disappointment in how "short" the game is, how "easy" most of the zones/bosses look, or how there isn't much to do.
Let's talk a little bit about Chalice dungeons.
There are four "types" of Chalice dungeons, determined by a prefix and basically hinting towards different areas and lore. Within each of these four types, you have a series of progressively difficult dungeons leading to final showdowns against some new bosses.
While Chalice Dungeons start off relatively simple and straightforward, there are some things to make note of.
First, Chalice Dungeons get hard. I'm not talking about mobs with 10x the normal HP hard, I'm talking about Bell Maidens summoning endless waves of spiders that can one shot you while giant blobs fall from the sky on your head as you try to run away. I'm talking about hallways and rooms boobytrapped from head to toe with spike traps and falling boulders. Enemies three times their normal size with faster move variants and additional special attacks that catch you off guard. Creature combinations encompassing all of your most dreaded areas and most dreaded enemies combined in to one force in the same room.
I'm talking real difficulty.
Second, there are rewards to Chalice Dungeons. There is more than just crafting materials to make more Chalice Dungeons involved. I managed to scoop up a brand new, awesome looking and decent statted full set of armor today after defeating one of the Chalice bosses. (Shown in the video below) Nowhere else will you find it but in that dungeon, baby.
Third and finally, bosses. You think the game lacks bosses? I fought through 11 new boss encounters tonight while running Chalice dungeons. Some were brand new enemies I'd never seen before. Some were new variants on larger enemies we see in our story playthrough. There were even a couple 3v1 fights. Further in, a couple fights were revisited - but when you fight the "same" boss... it's not the same at all.
Undead Giant in the first Chalice? Yeah, piece of cake. You're probably outleveling him tenfold. Undead Giant the second time you find him? Now he has huge chains that he swings around out of his back, and can literally one shot you on the spot. It's the same guy, but hardly the same fight.
There are even bosses in Chalice Dungeons that take story bosses and revamp them with new skins, more abilities, more hp/damage and more adds.
And before you think these bosses mere pushovers, or that they're phoned in scraps FROM slid in at the last second, let me reassure you: these are full fledged encounters, complete with their own soundtrack and everything.

And the best part?
Everything I just said, everything I just explained, all of the stuff I've done so far and enjoyed thoroughly... is merely the easiest first tier of Chalice Dungeon type out of the four.
