•Asked about the Macross Project with Sunrise
"we currently working it. We want to emphasize something new. I get bored easily. Unfortunately its very difficult to come up with totally original storylines for Macross. We wanted to differentiate our approach to solving conflict, and the answer was culture"
•Asked about CG use in the latest Macross and if 2D design will still be prevalent in future mecha anime shows
"Of course im a lover of 2D, but I understand the wishes of more details, which 3D helps more than 2D in certain cases.
When I was working on other titles id joke with other designers that this was the last 2D project.
I am a little concerned with AI booming that its going to be harder to convince people to draw in 2D. Theres no way of stopping it but theres a theme im working on on how to continue to include details and styles that AI cant replicate"
